Background: The “Me Bu Gateing” supplementary feeding programme adapts a Bireuen tradition to support maternal nutrition education, but Posyandu implementation showed inconsistent portions and limited menu variation. Objective: To develop and assess a pocket guide for cadres. Methods: A research and development study was conducted at Gandapura Community Health Center from August 2023 to February 2024 through needs assessment, media design, stakeholder focus group discussion, expert appraisal, revision, and field testing. Qualitative findings were analysed thematically; feasibility ratings used a five-point Likert scale and are reported as mean ± standard deviation. Results: The needs assessment identified the absence of a concise guide, non-standard portions, limited local-food use, and the need for pregnancy-appropriate menus. The final A6 guide contained 36 pages. Expert scores were 4.33 ± 0.82 for layout, 4.79 ± 0.25 for content, and 4.71 ± 0.34 for comprehensibility. Field testing produced 4.85 ± 0.11. Conclusion: The guide was highly feasible and acceptable as a cadre job aid; effectiveness on cadre competence and maternal outcomes requires further evaluation.
